How to let your chat play your game
Polls tell a streamer what the chat wants. Crowdplay lets the chat do it. The difference is that the game reads the result and applies it, on stream, without the streamer copying anything by hand.
What your audience can do
- Vote on a decision the game asks: which route, which weapon, hit or stand. The majority is applied when the clock runs out.
- Predict an outcome on a yes or no market the game settles itself, with prices that move with the crowd.
- Bet coins on a round of the built-in tables, with fixed odds published up front.
- Bid for an action in an auction: a reveal, a handicap, a challenge you set. The top bid is charged only when the action is carried out.
Three ways to connect
1. The built-in tables. Blackjack and roulette run on IMPAKT with no setup: go live and the room plays. 2. The live desk. From the studio you open a vote, a prediction, a betting window or an auction by hand, about whatever you are playing. 3. Your own game. A game connects through the crowdplay protocol: it publishes a catalogue of actions, opens rounds with a deadline, and the platform takes the votes, the coins and the settlement.
The clock problem, solved
A viewer sees your stream a few seconds late. Crowdplay draws the countdown into the video and keeps the window open for a short grace after the clock shown reaches zero, so what your viewers see is what they can act on.
Start
Set up a channel, stream with OBS or from the browser studio, and your viewers play along on IMPAKT, or from Twitch and Kick through the companion.
