Votes, predictions, bets and bids: the four ways a crowd plays
Crowdplay gives an audience four kinds of move. They differ in what they cost, who settles them and what they change.
Votes
Free, open to everyone watching, no account needed. The game asks a question with a deadline and plays the majority. If nobody votes, the game plays its own default, which on the blackjack table is the book move.
Predictions
A yes or no market on an outcome the game can settle itself, such as whether the dealer busts. Prices move as people buy, and a position can be cashed out before the result. Settled by the game's state, never by a judgement call.
Bets
On the built-in tables, coins staked on the hand or the spin with fixed odds published before the window opens. Settled by the cards or the pocket. A push refunds the book.
Bids
An auction for an action: reveal the hole card, peek the next card, or a challenge the creator proposed. Only the top bid is charged, and only when the action is actually carried out; if it is cancelled, the coins come back.
Coins
Predictions, bets and bids use IMPAKT coins, which are earned by watching and playing or bought in packs. They have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn. Votes never use them.
